Information We Collect
We collect your email address for authentication, your practice responses for adaptive learning, and basic usage analytics. We do not collect payment information, location data, or personal identifiers beyond your email.
How We Use Your Data
Your practice data powers the adaptive engine — it determines which questions to show you next, tracks your mastery, and schedules spaced repetition reviews. We never sell your data to third parties.
Data Storage
All data is stored securely on our own hosted infrastructure and a dedicated PostgreSQL database. Practice data is associated with your authenticated account and access is enforced at the application layer.
Practice reminder emails
When email delivery is configured, we may send optional practice reminders: review-due notices, streak-at-risk nudges, and a weekly progress digest. These are turned on by default for your account. You can change or turn off each type anytime at Email notifications. We keep a short delivery log (recipient, subject, send status) for about 90 days to operate the system; it is included in your data export and removed when you delete your account.
Your Rights
You can export or delete your data at any time from Account Settings — download everything we store about you as a JSON file, or permanently delete your account and all associated data. Deletion takes effect immediately: your profile, practice history, attempts, mastery scores, bookmarks, flags, and support tickets are removed. We keep a minimal operational audit entry that may include your email and optional deletion reason (your account id is cleared from that record). It is not used for marketing. For manual requests, contact us at support@catcaliber.me. Admins can also reset your practice progress upon request.
